TTSSTFA Forced to Cancel Relay Festival: Lack of Funding

The Trinidad and Tobago Secondary Schools’ Track and Field Association (TTSSTFA) regrets to inform ALL secondary schools and the national public that the Relay Festival carded for Thursday February 01, 2018 at the Larry Gomes Stadium, has been cancelled.
This decision was taken after much discussion at an Emergency General Council meeting held this morning at the Rudranath Capildeo Learning Resource Center (RCLRC).
Despite our efforts, we are unable to secure the necessary funding because SportsMax Digicel has not met its obligations to the Association; neither has our usual stakeholder partners. This lack of funding may also directly affect other upcoming events.
We do apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope that our athletes understand our predicament.
