Sherika Tobias of Bishops High A team was named the top scorer on the opening day of the 20th annual Paradise Hockey Club tournament.  Tobias netted 11 goals.

Boys winner-Scarborough Sec
Scarborough Secondary school won the boys title on the opening day of the 20th annual Paradise Hockey Club tournament. The team of Jabari Murray, Steven Benjamin, David Roberts, Guari Small and Johansey Thomas played unbeaten.

Secondary Schools' Track & Field 

Scarborough Secondary school won the girls and boys secondary schools titles on the opening day of the 20th annual Paradise Hockey Club tournament on Thursday, December, 15. Playing on their home field at the Scarborough Secondary's Auditorium on Old Farm Road, Shaw Park, the Scarborough teams played unbeaten. In the girls division Scarborough Sec beat Bishops High A (5-2) and Bishops High B (13-0) whist among the boys Scarborough Sec edged Bishops High A (7-5) and defeated Bishops High B (9-1). Jabari Murray inspired the Scarborough squad to victories scoring 10 goals and was named the male Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Top Goal Scorer. Scarborough girls was led by Nia Berkley, who netted ten goals and was voted the female MVP. However, Shericka Tobias of Bishops HIgh A got the nod for Top Goal scorer with her tally of 11 goals.

The players of the winning Scarborough Secondary teams are: girls (Tiffany James, Nia Berkely, Lauren Ince, Asia Berkely, Phoebe Warner, Petra Lezama) and boys (Jabari Murray, Steven Benjamin, David Roberts, Guari Small, Johansey Thomas)

In the primary schools competition, held during the morning session,  Patience Hill Government A team took home the first prize ahead of Scarborough Roman Catholic and St. Andrews Anglican.

On the second day of action set for Friday (today), the players from the primary and secondary schools will be placed on mixed teams and compete in the Skills and Development Competition. They will participate in ball dribbling, drills and juggling skills. The tournament will end with an all-star match from 4:00pm.

The 20th annual Paradise Hockey tournament is sponsored by the Department of Sport of the Tobago House of Assembly, Blink/B Mobile, Digicel and the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee.
